Goal

Follow a major repair in detail: a checklist of steps, photos and documents (quotes, contracts, reports), the full history and a discussion thread.

Audience

Administrator or assigned person. Everyone can view.

Prerequisites

  • A major repair exists.

Steps

  1. Checklist ("Checklist" tab): type a step in "Add a follow-up step...", then click "Add". Tick a step once done ("Completed by … on …" appears). Drag and drop steps to reorder them.

  3. History ("History" tab): the "Action history" list traces every action (status changed, person assigned, checklist, attachments, comments…), with author and date.

  4. Discussion ("Discussion" tab): write in "Add a comment...", then click "Send".

Checklist example

"Get the engineering study", "Call for tenders", "Vote the expense at the meeting"… The checklist structures a major project from start to finish.

Tips and common mistakes

  • No upload area: switch to edit mode ("Edit"); in read mode, attachments can only be viewed.
  • Warranties: warranties have their own tab. See Add a warranty.
  • Traceability: the history keeps who did what and when, useful for a Law 16 audit.
  • Who can edit or delete a comment: only its author (icons on hover over their own message). An administrator cannot edit or delete another member's comment.
  • Notification: each new comment notifies the people assigned to the repair (except the author), through the bell in the header.
  • Checklist restricted: only an administrator and the assigned people can add, check, reorder or delete items; other members can view it.
